Haiti – Tony Jones – Pictures & Reports

Hi Everyone
Well to say we are having a blessed time here in Canada would be an understatement. As comfortable as we are I am looking forward to returning to Haiti to continue the Lord’s work. In the meantime I would like to bring this Prayer request before you.

Since returning home I have been sending funds to Frantz (My right hand man) through Wester Union to continue supporting the Lords work.I also have had Frantz pick up funds for my wife Edna as she needs.Well it seems someone in Wester Union has tipped off some gang members making them aware that Frantz periodically comes in for money. Other times the gangs will have young children sit in the Wester Union and when someone exits the building with money the children will then call the gang members that are waiting outside alerting them as to whom the person is.
So now the gangs have been informed about Frantz and he has been followed 3 times back to Grand Goave.( Western Union is in another town west of us)The other day my wife Edna told me they had been to his house with guns looking for him.
If I was there I would be able to communicate with the gang members but unfortunately that can’t happen.I,m also afraid they may try to kidnap him.
Please please keep Frantz in your PrayersThe situation in Haiti right now is very dire
Thank you

Lord Bless, Tony

He added this after the above:

Since I have been back I have been able to have all the radio station equipment sent to Haiti. I’m also working on shipping a Jeep that was bought for me about 1 year ago and has been sitting in Ohio.

So Brother last week in the farthest area we work in we had a young man (16 years old) fall off the edge of a mountain while getting water. This area is very rugged and to get water the community sends their kids 4 hours round trip to get the water for their families. Because the trail is very narrow and steep, adults are not physically able to do the trip.
While returning to the community carrying the bucket of water on his head the young man lost his footing and fell 50 ft onto some rocks. Some men from the community were able to go down and get him. They carried the young boy on a door for 2 hours to the nearest clinic. Sadly the boy died on the way.
We have been working in this area for about 3 years and just planted a new church. I sent you pictures of it yesterday. So one of the problems facing this community is that they are not able to store water, they literally travel everyday to get water.

Below are some pictures of two different chapels. One building was donated by Samaritan’s Purse. The other was made with what was at hand. The water tanks are to finally save those young from walking hours in danger.
